OUR MISSION
Is to provide a loving, safe home for at-risk children on the Honduran Island of Roatan; and to provide a quality bilingual Christian education to prepare them for a secure future.
We have opportunities to visit and volunteer. No matter where you are, no matter what you have to offer – we work best with your help. Come see what we are doing.

My Aunt and I visited SBLM on a recent trip to Roatan. We had so much fun with the kids and loved getting to know Banesa and Orsy. They are doing an amazing job with the children and it feels like one big, happy family. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time helping out. Such a wonderful work being done for these precious kids!

The kids at this orphanage impacted me more than I could have ever imagined last year, and Lord willing I hope to return the end of this year.I am also beyond excited to have my twin sister joining me this year and for her to meet these kids!! The need is real, and our team will be once again pouring into the lives of both the orphanage staff and the children. We will be spending time with them, simply listening to their stories, preparing special meals, hosting various events and games etc.

I have been on a few missions trips to Sandy Bay Lighthouse Ministries and every time I see consistent love and devotion to Christ’s Ministry. Mr. Orsy and Ms. Banesa care genuinely for the children under their care and really provide for the spiritual as well as physical needs of those children. My family and I got to spend Christmas of 2016 with this amazing Godly family. After spending our first day there my then 9-year-old daughter said to me: Mommy, this isn’t an Orphanage, this is a home. She spoke such truth that day. This is home anchored in God’ love and Joy. His presence was felt the moment Orsy and Banesa picked us up to take us to this love filled home. They both are super parents to all of these children and make taking care of 20+ children, look easy. We pray God opens a door for us to return soon. We refer to this experience as “transformational travel” because it results in transforming the lives of both participants and recipients. We have hosted many teams over the past years and consistently receive positive feedback on the experience.
